Frequently asked questions
Does the FDA approve cosmetics?
No. The FDA registers cosmetic facilities and regulates OTC drug products such as sunscreen. It does not approve cosmetics. We operate from an FDA-registered facility and support the OTC pathway where your formula needs it.
What is MoCRA and does it affect my brand?
MoCRA is the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act. It requires facility registration, product listing, and safety substantiation for cosmetics sold in the US. We build these requirements into the manufacturing project.
Can I sell skincare made in Asia in the US?
Yes. Products made in Taiwan and South Korea can be sold in the US when the facility is registered and the MoCRA requirements are met. We manufacture under ISO 22716 and from a US FDA-registered facility.
